Cory began his career at Cooper Farms as a part-time egg gatherer at age 16. He uses that experience in his current position as the Walnut Ridge farm manager to mentor current high school students in his department. He understands the delicate balance they face—juggling school, work and personal milestones and activities. Cory’s philosophy is clear: there is a lifetime ahead to focus on work, but the high school years are unique and fleeting. With this perspective, he prioritizes flexibility and understanding, encouraging his young team members to enjoy their youth.
Early in his career at Cooper Farms, Cory admired his manager, Kevin Rogers, and aspired to adopt a similar leadership style. Today, Cory leads by example, often reminding his team, “If you have to do something hard, so do I.” Cory adds that he has a seasoned crew of dedicated employees and together they ensure animal welfare is the top priority 100% of the time.
Cory and his wife are the proud parents of two children who share their love for the outdoors, whether it’s golfing, fishing or hunting. An avid bow hunter, Cory has even built a custom hunting blind that is spacious enough for four, complete with windows and heating! He proudly shares that both his children have already celebrated the milestone of harvesting their first buck.
Thank you, Cory, for your dedication to the animals you care for, your team of employees, and your family!
