Meet Rafael, a cheerful morning person who enjoys managing different personalities and believes constant communication is key to his work at Hertzfeld Poultry Farms. In just two years, he has advanced to processing supervisor because of his ability to identify and assign the processing team to jobs that suit their strengths. He is a quick learner in the poultry industry and in teaching himself English since his move from Mexico three years ago.
Rafael shares that he enjoys celebrating U.S. holidays as well as traditional Mexican holidays such as Cinco de Mayo and Dia De Los Muertos. He likes following Major League Soccer (MLS), especially Inter Miami FC, and is a fan of American Basketball and the Los Angeles Lakers. Rafael enjoys his life in the peaceful surroundings of northwest Ohio while blending the Mexican and American cultures in his daily life. Never one to forget his roots, his favorite way to eat eggs is Mexican style, including tomatoes, jalapeños and onions!
