Ingredients

1 (15.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix

3 eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup peanut butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Line a 9×13 pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper and coat with nonstick spray. Set aside.

In the bowl of your mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, (or a large bowl), combine the cake mix, eggs and butter until smooth.

Spread the batter into the pan. Spray hands with nonstick spray and flatten to the edges. Using the back of a spoon make 12-16 indents in the batter. Fill each well with approximately ½ teaspoon of peanut butter. Reserve remaining peanut butter.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden at the edges. Peanut butter will have melted into the cookie bars. Fill each well with the remaining peanut butter. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares or using a circle cutter.
