Golden Yolk Fizz

A rich and citrus-forward cocktail perfect for holiday gatherings! It's perfectly refreshing topped with seltzer for a light, bubbly fizz.

Ingredients

ounces gin
1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
1 ounce plain simple syrup
1 egg yolk
2 – 3 dashes of orange bitters
1-2 ounces Seltzer water

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake well (no ice). The mixture should be very frothy. Add crushed ice and shake again. Strain the cocktail into a highball glass over ice. Top with seltzer water.

Notes

Use pasteurized eggs for this recipe. The addition of alcohol and an acid (lemon juice) in correct proportions will also help reduce the spread of any food-borne illness.
