3 cups whole milk
4 large egg yolks
¼ cup kahlua (for a non-alcohol version use same amount of brewed coffee)
3 tbsp brown sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
pinch of salt
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
8 toasted marshmallows
4 graham cracker halves
In a medium saucepan whisk together the milk, egg yolks, Kahlua, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt and cornstarch.
Cook the mixture over medium heat whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla and serve in mugs while warm.
Garnish each mug with two toasted marshmallows and graham cracker half.
This recipe is very decadent - more like a dessert than a drink!
